Johnny the Homocidal Maniac is a comic series about a guy called Johnny, who is..... a Homocidal Maniac... .... However, the comics aren't just about killing people..... well actually they are, but there's more to it. Sometimes it's hilarious, at other times tear jerking, but mostly it makes you THINK which I guess is a good thing... I really enjoyed reading JtHM, and it gave me whole different outlook on life. I recommend it to everyone, except most people who would probably find it too shocking. (Ever get the impression I'm only pretending to know what I'm talking about?)

It's really hard to explain what the series is actually about, but in basic terms: The comic is about Johnny, (or 'Nny). He goes about murdering people who he doesn't like (although they mostly deserve it). In his house is a large assortment of torture devices and an extensive basement. Next door is a small boy that goes by the name of Squee who has his own spin off series.

JtHM is written by Johnen Vasquez, the issues include the main 'Nny storyline, as well as extras like the 'Meanwhile' stories which concentrate on different characters such as happy Noodle Boy (he's hilarious) and 'Wobbly Headed Bob'. There are 7 issues of JtHM, but you can buy the 'Director's Cut' which puts the issues into order, it concentrates on JtHM and Happy Noodle Boy, so if you want the complete set of 'Meanwhile stories, you're better off buying the separate issues. Oh yeah, I mentioned the 'Squee' spinoff series... well there's a fairly new graphic novel which puts these together with loads of the 'Meanwhile' stories which were left out of the Director's cut. It's called 'SQUEE's Wonderful giant Book of Unspeakable Horrors'.
Anyway basically, just buy it (or if you know me, you can borrow it), because I make it sound crap when I talk about it... Enjoy the pictures!
